Virtual Open Gardens

From 15th June 2020 for at least 6 weeks

Access via the hospice website - Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice

Each year we hold an Open Garden event in June in aid of the Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice. Not this year. Like all other fund raising events we have had to cancel it as a result of the lockdown requirements.

But in its place we are holding a Virtual Open Gardens with over 40 gardens each contributing a 2 minute clip. The gardens range from National Garden Scheme participants to allotments, from the manicured grounds of Morden College to small suburban gardens. Some have commentaries, some a musical accompaniment and some the sound of water or birdsong. Although the preponderance of the gardens are in ( West) Greenwich and Blackheath there are gardens throughout the 2 Boroughs involved. The garden at the Hospice itself on Bostall Common is taking part.

Access to the  virtual gardens will be from June 15th via the Hospice web-site below. There will be no charge for visiting the gardens but there will be a link to a donations page and we hope that people will give generously to the Emergency Appeal.
