St James' and Mayfair

Our own Ray Smith will lead a walk around these famous parts of London; an edcational and historical revelation!

£5 per person - meet at 10:45am at the half-price ticket booth in Leicester Square

 

Sunday 3rd May

Bank Holiday Treasure Hunt

Starting at 3pm - follow the clues around walking Greenwich, spotting and learning, and the cleverest team wins a prize

For teams of 2 or more - £10 a head

 

Weekend of 13th and 14th June

Magna Carta

The Greenwich Society celebrates the 800th anniverary of Magna Carta - when the Baron of West Greenwich was one of the original 25 barons to confront King John

There will lots going on - culminating in a party for Society members and guests!

 

Tuesday 30th June

The Annual Blackeath & Greenwich Society Cricket Match

Played on the Cricket pitch in Greenwich Park starting in the late afternoon

Come and watch - and cheer your team! It's free.

 

Week beginning 12th October

Wine Tasting

After the success of last year's Christmas selection, Jonathan Chandler will lead a tutored tastong of 12 or so wines.

£25 per person - inluding all the wines and light refreshments.

The Society's Annual Lecture - Fortnum and Mason and the Navy Supplies
