Check before you travel by train this Easter

southeastern

This Easter we will be working around the clock to undertake vital improvement work to increase the reliability of the south east’s railways, as part of the Thameslink Programme.

This will mean major changes to Southeastern services between Friday 3 and Monday 6 April 2015.

Service changes

Some of the major changes are listed below but we would suggest you check before you travel at National Rail Enquiries for full details.

  • No Southeastern services will run to London Bridge except Hastings services, which will operate via Tonbridge, Redhill and East Croydon.
  • There will be no trains to or from London Charing Cross, Waterloo East, or Cannon Street. Services to and from Kent will be diverted to and from Blackfriars and Victoria, or will start and terminate at New Cross.
  • Southeastern services will not run between Deptford and Charlton via Greenwich. Replacement bus services will run between Lewisham and Charlton via Greenwich.
  • In addition, major improvement work will also affect other Southeastern services, with no trains running between Swanley and Faversham via Sittingbourne and Maidstone to Gravesend. Replacement bus services will run between Swanley, Maidstone East, Gravesend and Faversham. Journey times will be longer.
  • Southern services between London Bridge and Horsham services will start and terminate at East Croydon.
  • There will be changes to other rail services across London during the Easter period.
  • After Easter, Charing Cross services will continue to not stop at London Bridge until August 2016.
