The Society's Annual Lecture will be given at 11am on Sunday 26th November 2017 in the Lecture Theatre of the National Maritime Museum.

There will be two speakers from Royal Museums Greenwich. Christine Riding, Head of Arts and Curator of the Queen's House, will speak on 'Acquiring a National Icon: the Armada Portrait of Elizabeth I'. Elizabeth Hamilton- Eddy, Senior Paintings Conservator (since 1978) will speak on 'The Anatomy and Conservation of the Armada Portrait' following the full restoration that she will then have completed before its planned rehanging in the Queen's House in September.

They will each speak for about 20 Minutes and will answer questions. We are fortunate in having two such distinguished speakers to inform us about the iconic royal portrait. We anticipate a sell-out so book early to avoid disappointment.
